Brown Transferware...a decorative technique using transfer printing developed in England in the mid-18th century.

This is one of my favorite vintage brown tansferware platters. I love adding to my collection...Hunting for these vintage pieces is fun, if I’m lucky I’ll spot a great piece on a table full of dishes!

I’m right at home with pairing the Brown pieces with my vintage silver flatware. I love them together, particularly for entertaining outdoors in Autumn...its my true Casual loves elegance!
