Vintage Beach Decor ~ Shop Talk with Alex Wijnen

I love spending time at the coast to relax and recharge. In addition to strolling along the beach and lounging on the couch, I also like to add a little shopping therapy into the mix. So for me, no visit to Cannon Beach is complete without stopping by Sesame & Lilies, one of my all-time favorite stores.

On the main floor you’ll find a little bit of everything: glass and table ware, bedding and blankets, lotions and candles with plenty of vintage touches mixed in. They even carry some scrumptious cashmere lounge wear and fancy gourmet foods.

While there’s plenty to make you swoon downstairs, make sure you don’t forget to head upstairs. To me, that’s where the real magic happens. Room after room filled to the brim with gorgeous décor and fabulous vintage – inspiration everywhere you look!

Seeing all the artfully arranged vignettes throughout the rooms is one of my favorite things – I always get ideas to try at home and more often than not, have to bring a little piece of Sesame & Lilies home with me.

In addition to being a wonderfully talented interior designer, the owner Diane Speakman is also a gifted artist – this polar bear is simply stunning!
