Quaint, Cozy Vintage Lake

I grew up on the West coastwhich means we spent a lot of time vacationing at the coast. We would either go for a weekend or stay with friends for a week renting a house. This all seemed quite natural until I got older and had friends from the Mid-West where they vacationed at the “lake”.

I grew up next to a lake, for me that’s where People lived not vacationed and then I took my first vacation to the “lake” and realized what they were all talking about.these houses had three season porches, big windows facing the lawn to the lake and filled with quaint, cozy vintage furniture and décor.

I fell in love with these lazy days at the lake lounging in adirondack chairs, eating lunch at tables laden with vintage linens and glasses; sleeping under old quilts handed down from generation to generation and wrapping up under an old blanket to stare at the stars.

What would my lake house look like if I had one? Good question, I have a few ideas. Want to see?
